Neue Mode 4811 Model 24

Diameter approx. 105 cm. Materials: Approx. 250g white cotton yarn from MEZ "Sonja" (100% cotton). Set of double-pointed needles (Perl-INOX), one 70 cm circular needle, and a size 3 crochet hook. [The instructions aren't really clear about the knitting needle size; the only project currently on Ravelry used size 2.5mm needles with light fingering yarn.]

Instructions: Cast on 12 stitches and work according to the chart. The chart shows every second round; in the intervening rounds, knit all stitches and yarn-overs knitwise. However, if two yarn-overs appear side-by-side, knit the first one and knit the second one through the back loop (to twist it). Work the pattern repeat 4 times in rounds 1–22, and 8 times in rounds 23–73. Rounds 38–50: see chart. Rounds 51–164: repeat the pattern sequence 24 times. After round 164, bind off by crocheting: *crochet 3 stitches together with 1 single crochet, then chain 9 stitches; repeat from * throughout.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
